The practice is designed for patients and families who are motivated to participate actively in care, communicate clearly, attend appointments consistently, and work collaboratively toward treatment goals.
Care begins with a thoughtful psychiatric evaluation and treatment-planning process. From there, treatment may include medication management, monitoring of response and side effects, psychoeducation, brief supportive interventions, and care coordination when clinically appropriate.
The goal is not rushed prescribing or one-size-fits-all care. The goal is careful psychiatric treatment that is clinically appropriate, understandable, and useful in daily life.

NH Psychiatry primarily provides psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, and ongoing medication management. The practice is not designed as a high-volume clinic, crisis service, or standalone psychotherapy practice.
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation & Treatment Planning
The first step in ongoing care, including review of symptoms, history, prior treatment, current medications, safety concerns, and treatment goals.
Medication Management
Ongoing psychiatric medication treatment with monitoring for effectiveness, side effects, safety, and functional improvement.
ADHD Evaluation & Treatment
Clinical assessment and treatment of ADHD symptoms when appropriate, including careful review of history, impairment, medication response, and safety.
Adolescent Psychiatry
Medication-focused psychiatric care for motivated adolescents and families seeking evaluation, treatment planning, and ongoing support.
Adult Psychiatry
Psychiatric medication management for adults experiencing mood, anxiety, attention, sleep, or other outpatient mental health concerns.
Spravato® / Esketamine Treatment
A specialized, monitored in-office treatment option for eligible adults with treatment-resistant depression after clinical screening, insurance review, and required safety monitoring.
In-Person & Telehealth Appointments
Appointments are available in Alton, NH, with telehealth options when clinically appropriate.
Boundaries
Scope of practice
To maintain a focused outpatient psychiatry model, NH Psychiatry does not provide every type of mental health service. Patients who need services outside the practice scope may be referred to a more appropriate provider, service, or level of care.
Standalone Psychotherapy
NH Psychiatry does not provide standalone psychotherapy. Brief supportive, educational, or skills-based interventions may be included as part of medication management when clinically appropriate.
Legal, Custody, or Forensic Evaluations
NH Psychiatry does not provide one-time forensic evaluations, custody evaluations, court-related evaluations, or legal opinions.
Full Neuropsychological Testing
NH Psychiatry does not provide full neuropsychological or psychoeducational testing.
Crisis Care
NH Psychiatry is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or call/text 988.
Insurance
Access to care
NH Psychiatry accepts many major commercial insurance plans and New Hampshire Medicaid. Medicare is not accepted.
Patients should verify behavioral health benefits, copays, deductibles, and network status directly with their insurance plan before scheduling.
