New Patients
Request an appointment
New patients may request an appointment through the secure online booking portal. After a request is submitted, NH Psychiatry reviews the information for clinical fit, scheduling availability, insurance or payment information, and whether the requested service is appropriate for the practice.
Submitting an appointment request does not guarantee acceptance into care. If the request appears appropriate, the office will follow up with next steps, including intake paperwork and appointment preparation.
Please complete all requested intake forms before your appointment. Prior records may be requested when clinically helpful or necessary.
Privacy and communication
To protect patient privacy, NH Psychiatry does not use a general website contact form for clinical questions, medication requests, or personal health information.
New patients should use the online appointment request link to begin the intake process. Established patients should use the approved patient communication system for non-urgent clinical questions, refill requests, forms, and scheduling needs.
Please do not send urgent clinical concerns, medication changes, safety concerns, or emergency information through unsecured email or website messages. Messages are reviewed during business hours and are not monitored 24/7.
Preparation
Before requesting care
NH Psychiatry is best suited for patients and families who are ready to participate actively in care. This includes completing intake paperwork, attending scheduled appointments, communicating clearly, taking medications as prescribed, and working collaboratively on treatment goals.
For adolescents, care works best when both the patient and family are willing to provide accurate history, support follow-through, and participate in treatment planning.
Before requesting care, please be prepared to:
- Complete intake forms before the appointment
- Provide prior records when requested
- Verify insurance benefits before scheduling
- Attend appointments consistently
- Participate actively in treatment planning
- Use approved communication channels for non-urgent needs
Communication
For patients and providers
For Established Patients
Established patients should use the approved patient communication system for non-urgent clinical questions, refill requests, forms, and scheduling needs. Routine messages are reviewed during business hours. Messages should not be used for emergencies or urgent safety concerns.
Medication changes are generally not made through messages and may require an appointment. Refills may require current follow-up, especially for controlled medications, recent medication changes, missed appointments, or overdue follow-up.
For Referring Providers
Referring providers may contact NH Psychiatry for referral questions or coordination of care. When sending records, the most helpful information usually includes a recent visit note, current medication list, diagnosis history, prior psychiatric medication trials, relevant testing, and any controlled-substance documentation when applicable.
Records and coordination requests should be sent only through secure and appropriate channels. Fax: 603-607-6472 · Phone: 603-515-1700
